Overview

01

Imagine you can find people near your home who love to cook and have the ability
and skills to prepare home-cooked meals for you. The app, called Feed, will connect users
with local amateur or hobbyist cooks who are passionate about cooking and
providing delicious, home-cooked meals.

Problem

02

Finding home-cooked meals can be a challenge, especially for busy individuals who don’t have the time to cook or go out to eat. The traditional method of ordering food delivery often involves going to a restaurant website or using a third-party delivery service, which can be expensive and doesn’t always offer the best quality food.

Solution

03

FEED solves this problem by connecting users with local amateur or hobbyist cooks who are passionate about cooking and delivering high-quality, home-cooked meals that users can pick up themselves. The app allows users to search for cooks based on their location, cooking style, and dietary preferences, and then view detailed menus and place an order.

User research

04

In order to better understand the needs and frustrations of the user,
I used both interviews and questionnaires. Initially, I sent Google
surveys to 40 potential users between the ages of 18 and 60,
Most relevant of them were merried women aged 40-50 with childrens

  • Wide Range of Restaurants
    and Cuisines

  • Limited Authenticity: Wolt may offer a wider range of restaurant options, but may not offer the same level of authentic, homemade cooking as a local amateur home cookers app.

  • Higher Prices: Wolt's delivery fees and menu prices can be relatively high, which may make it less accessible to users on a budget compared to a local amateur home cookers app.

  • Limited Availability: Wolt is currently only available in select cities and regions, which may limit its accessibility compared to a local amateur home cookers app, which may operate more locally or regionally.

  • Poor visual design: Users may find the app unappealing or difficult to navigate due to poor color choices, low-quality graphics, or a cluttered layout.

  • Misleading advertising: Users may feel misled by the app's advertising if they are expecting to find local cooks but only find restaurants.

Conclutions

After examining direct and indirect competitors i determined that the market offers a verity of delivery apps and there are very few dedicated app for ordering home cooked food from local cooks that also do not meet the standarts expected from of this type of app

Pain Points

User Scenario

The app is suitable and helpful for the entire population and in particular i chose to focus on busy mothers who have a career and still want to give their family the best home cooked food while they are outside.

Mirit is a busy working mother who wants to provide healthy and delicious meals for her family, but struggles with finding the time to do so. She often feels guilty about relying on fast food and takeout, but doesn’t have the energy or time to prepare meals at home. She wants to find a way to simplify her life and still provide nutritious meals for her family. She heard about a local cooks app from a friend, and is intrigued by the idea of supporting local chefs while also getting access to healthy and flavorful meals.

Mirit decides to download the app and she is impressed with the variety of meals available. She is able to order meals for her family, and even try out new recipes and cuisines. With the help of the app, Mirit is able to provide her family with nutritious and delicious meals without sacrificing her busy schedule.
